The Parents Visit Boston from Alabama

FullSizeRender 2.jpg

My parents came to visit last week from Alabama. Let me translate what that means. It means that I will be going on a 5 day seafood bender that I like to refer to as "Amanda's Annual Seafood Tour". This is not a joke, people. My Mom's agenda every time she visits Boston is to eat 1 lobster roll per day. Honestly, it's entirely too much lobster but I'm commited to the challenge.

Here is where I start a checklist of the best lobster rolls / seafood restaurants in Boston. I guess I should update the blog post title accordingly.

James Hook Lobster Roll

1. James Hook

This is my Mom's favorite spot. I sometimes think it's only because there's a cute lobster wearing a hat out front, but who knows. They have cold lobster rolls (her favorite, not mine), lobster bisque and reallly good clam chowder. They don't skimp on the oyster crackers either!!

2.Saltie Girl

Okay, this one is my favorite. They have cold and hot (!!) lobster rolls, a burger with fried lobster and pork belly, and every sea creature you can think of in tin cans! I LOVE this place.

3. Whole Foods in the South End

Hear me out. This one is actually good. In the Whole Foods in the South End they have essentially a food court with a seafood shack. My Mom makes it a priority to go here every time for lobster rolls and fried clams.

Here are a few more pictures from their visit!

And here is a picture of my little sister, Stella! She didn't get to join the trip, but she's still cute enough to make this post!
